Print on Print | How to style your kurtis | Plus Size Fashion Inspiration

Trends change and intentionally or unintentionally we follow the trends.

One very interesting trend that we see nowadays is print on print.

Now what is print on print?

It is nothing but a combination of print with a print. usually we combine print with a plain fabric, for eg. a printed kurta with plain lower or a plain kurta with a printed lower.

We see a lot of celebs flaunting this style as well, but how do we style ourselves?
Let me take you through some guides to print on print.

Disclaimer: I do not have many pictures of mine so will be using reference pictures from the internet.

STYLE 1: SAME PRINT TOP AND BOTTOM

This is a very interesting style and we do have seen this style in our childhood in 80s and early 90s. Same print kurti and salwar/churidar with a plain chunni was in fashion. Although chunni is still out of style, this particular print on print style is back but with different style of kurtis. In such cases the kurtis are more like mens kurta style, or frock style or even straight cut but with a looser fit.

STYLE 2: SPARSE AND DENSE PRINT

The main thing that we need to keep in mind while styling print on print is the color scheme. You may style 2 different prints in the same color scheme. One of the prints can be sparse and big and the other dense and small. This in my opinion is the safest and the best style.

STYLE 3: PRINTED KURTI WITH PRINTED SHRUG

Print on print does not only need to be a combination of top and bottom. You can style the printed top with a printed shrug. However in this case, you need to keep the bottom plain. Again, the same rule applies, keep the color scheme same for both the fabrics.

STYLE 4: PRINTED KURTI WITH PRINTED DUPATTA

This style is for all you people who love to wear dupatta, I personally love dupatta!
You may style your printed dupatta with printed kurta and a plain lower. The fabrics may be of the same print or different prints of the same color scheme.

So that is all for today's video. I hope this would be helpful for you to style this trend. Like I said, the thumb rule is to follow the color scheme.
